We Are Watching And We Are Getting Angry

I find that I am getting more and more angry these days. I watch the news and see atrocities being committed by small cowardly men because they want more power/money/prestige and it disgusts me. It also disgusts me that the leaders (and I use the term very loosely) of other countries stand by and let it happen.

Decent human beings across the world are watching and we are getting angry. At some point you, the cowards and so called leaders, WILL be held accountable for your actions by us, the people, remember us right? We are the ones your supposed to be representing!

(I don't think this image quite works yet. I'm going to have a go at doing it again with a black background because I think it will have more impact. The lightening representing the anger will definitely be easier to see)

Yes I find myself ranting at the news on the radio even though I know they can't hear me!!

Love your idea for this pic.

Suburbia - I find I am doing it all the time! I even had to switch off Prime Ministers Question Time the other day cause I was getting so mad that I actually wanted to throw something at the TV (My Mum used to have a sponge brick that was for that very time I'm in Scotland I may have to ask her what happened to it!)

Blu - :-). I've never tried to illustrate things like this before so it's a bit new to me. I think the image has more impact with the black background.

I happen to believe it's very useful to illustrate these things, personally and publicly. Images speak much louder than words sometimes.

Jennifer - I've only ever drawn when I have been in the mood so this illustraing what's around me thing is very new. As I said on FB, its an interesting process...I may not 'like' what I come up with but its certainly different to what I normally produce.

I agree completely. Although if I was drawing this concept, it would show me with my head in the sand. I think I have given up on what is going on.

Sometimes it takes non-verbal approaches like this to get the ones like me who are sick and tired of "all of the words" to become engaged again.

Jamie - I don't blame you for giving up! I think there is only so much we can take before we reach the 'Oh what is the point'. I'm not there yet but if nothing changes I can see it coming!

Yup, less talk more action. We have really good groups in the UK such as 38 Degrees who are people led and they raised a lot of money (donated by ordinary people like me) to legally challenge some of the things that are happening, they have produced billboards and all sorts of things. They are in your face and I think it's great what they are doing!
