Happy 40th Birthday Honey

Just because your 40,
don't despair, oh no
overnight you won't discover
you've lost your get up and go.

Nor will you become all wrinkled
nor ache from head to toe
so even though your ripening
don't regard it as a blow,
you won't suddenly look decrepit

...Cos that happened long ago!!!

Happy 40th Birthday Honey

I love it that 40 is the first anniversary of a 39th birthday.

He he he, that was wonderful Carol, and how was the day, or how were the pubs, did you both drink it dry, hope you had a Happy Birthday Chris, with Carol helping you celebrate.

I can just see it, you pouring out the wine, one for you Chris, one for me, next time, one for you, and two for me, and so on and so on, seeing as he is 40 now, he has probably lost the ability to count he he!!.

40 is lovely. It looks good and is loads better than 39. 39 is wishy washy.

Carol said...

Lily - I would love to say that I wrote it but I found it in a card!! (Made me laugh!!)

Helen - I think 40's young too.....I just like teasing him!! it's next year I need to worry :-)

Ann - The day was lovely!! We went out for some posh nosh on Saturday night and then we chilled on Sunday. He got breakfast in bed, opened his pressies (only two of them..the third has not turned up yet), had some birthday cake (which I made!!), went to the pub and then I cooked a three course meal which we had with some bubbly :-)

Hehehe, he'll not thank you for that comment you know :-)

French Fancy - Your right, it does look much better than 39!!

It's true, 40 is so young - unfortunately, none of us realise that at the time!! Hope a great time was had anway. x

Sea Blue Sky - I've still got a bit to go before turning forty (6 years) but definitely think age is more about how you feel and your outlook on life than it is about a number!! I know people who are younger than me but who act about 30 years older!!

Chris told me last night that he had had a lovely birthday (Phew!!)
