Blues # 2

I rather like how this one has turned out. I didn't use the masking tape this time and that made a big difference but I did use salt to soak up some of the paint and that has added some texture to the painting. The photo is not brilliant so you can't really see it...but I think I will do some more experimenting with it tomorrow...perhaps let the paint drip down.

Carol: You are showing me that art is autobiographical, indeed. I can usually tell a great deal about people from studying their artistic creations. It is interesting to see how you think. The creative process is revealing.

JJ - Yikes!! I'm slightly worried about what is being revealed! Do you now know that ants make me shudder? That I get really annoyed when guys wear their trousers so it looks like they have a low slung bum? and that I harass people on trains if they don't give up their seat for a pregnant woman or an older person? :-)

I don't know what it tells JJ, but I gotta say it certainly speaks to your willingness to experiment, to take an idea and chase it into something that speaks to you and about you.

ummmm....maybe that's a part of what JJ was talking about? *shrugs*

Personally, I like how it's evolving--and I like the added texture.

Mel - I do love playing about with an idea and taking it to a point where I don't have anywhere further to take it (or I get bored with it). I do tend to keep going till I have an image that I'm happy with.

Glad your liking it hon :-)
